Hey, my name is Kayla Marie and I love to bake! You’re visiting my site so I figure that you love it too! And even if you don’t love it, anyone can do it!
I first started baking when I was a little girl, couldn’t have been older than four or five. Some people even claim that I was born with a wooden spatula in my hand (no silver spoons for me)! When I was in middle school I started a small baking business called Sweet Treats! From there I was able to familiarize myself with more advanced baking and decorating techniques. When I’m not cracking eggs or folding doughs I enjoy the typical high school things. I’ve run cross country for over three years now and just finished up a successful season of long-distance track. I love to scrapbook, take pictures, travel, and go to the lake. On warm afternoons, I enjoy a juicy magazine full of daily “news” which keeps me pretty well entertained. It seems like I am very busy most of the time, so keeping organized is a biggie for me as well! Where would I be without my planner? Let’s hope we never have to find out.
People who know me, know that I’m easy-going and just like to have a good time. Baking is fun for me because it gives me a chance to create something that is like nothing else. This is why I particularly love cake decorating.
I am, by no stretch of anyone’s imagination, a baking expert. I’m not a beginner, but I’m learning just the same. This site is a way to learn together. Posting feedback from posts and such is your important job because I think we all may have something to share.
All in all, I just like to bake…and you clearly do too! Whether your looking for a site for good advice or trying to find that perfect recipe, cookies-n-cakes is your place! We all love food here (especially me) so let’s get to baking!
