What an idea! I love those yummy ice cream drumsticks from the Ice Cream Man, but who would have ever guessed that they could be made at home!

In some instances, I’d say that half the fun of drumsticks is racing against the clock.

You hear the ice cream truck roll into your neighborhood and you frantically scramble to gather some change.

Oreos Overtake Roadway

Oreos are quite possibly the most delicious combination of chocolate and cream known to man. Whoever first decided that the cream filling should be IN the cookie is a hero and without him, we would never have had this hilarious story to laugh at.

It’s any cookie-lover’s dream. Fourteen tons of double-stuffed Oreos sprinkled among the highway and median, still protected by their little plastic sleeves. Well, for the residents of Illinois, it’s no dream.

According to officials, State Police Sgt. Brian Mahoney says the truck’s driver was traveling from Chicago to Morris on Interstate 80 around 4 a.m. Monday when he fell asleep at the wheel and slammed into the median. The contents of his overloaded semi-truck were rocketed from their storage and onto the roadway.

Only about 50 miles southwest from Chicago, this crash still remains under investigation.

So far, no charges have been filed, however it looks like this batch of “milk’s favorite cookie” won’t be dunked, crunched, or enjoyed by anyone in Illinois today.
